Recruitment Campaign- All Hands Needed on Deck!

The Titans have embarked on a recruitment campaign for new players, to help us ensure the future sustainability of the Club. Continued success of the ILWP program is critical in that it is the feeder program to our competitive programs. With the help of a Provincial Communities in Action Fund grant, we have been able to hire coach Jennifer Hampton on a part-time basis for the summer,  to go out into the community, where she is doing program promotion and recruitment. With the assistance of a dedicated crew of 'Expert Helpers' (a.k.a. our older competitive athletes), she has been to a number of events each week, and has been able to conduct many clinics in existing aquatic camps.

We need your help! Can you distribute some brochures and small posters in your local community or workplace? Public libraries, community centres (we've already covered most of the pools), and other public gathering places are ideal.

If you are able to make contact with your local public school (our target age group is 7-12, although we also have a recreational house league for ages 13+), we can provide you with a short blurb for a school newsletter, as well as for posters/ brochures for distribution. Schools are an excellent for promoting our programs, but in most cases we need Principal approval by individual school, and it's best if someone local approaches them

Please contact Titans General Manager Deanna Barry, at INFO@titanswaterpolo.ca or 613-741-1224.

Titans/Hull Athletes Part of Winning Canadian Junior Pan-Am Teams

In addition to the congratulations sent out last week to Titans Evie Marshall, Rebekka Steenkamer and John Conway, and Hull player Edgardo Montes, we would also like to extend congratulations to Hull player Dusan Alexic who was also part of the winning Canadian teams at the Junior Pan-Am Games, held recently in Sao Paulo, Brazil.
