Ottawa Women's Water Polo League (OWWPL)
We are looking forward to a great OWWPL season! The current and most up to date schedule is posted on the club website. (From the home page, click on the "Leagues" button from the home page, look under the Ottawa Women's Water Polo League 2009 Season and click on Rosters and Schedule. ) You should always access this version of the schedule since this will always be the most up to date version if there are any changes. We also hope to post results and game statistics here in the future.
For any games where we are the home team, we need two parent volunteers: one for game secretary and one for shot clock / game clock (combined). Check the online schedule, then email your team manager (Val, Penny or Sue) to let her know which dates and volunteer job you can help out with, thanks!

Camp Olympia and Ontario Water Polo's 'Road to Excellence'
Ontario Water Polo is launching the first step of the 'Road to Excellence' program, for athletes who wish to commence or continue their journey in a high performance stream of water polo.
Camp Olympia is the first step in this process. Located in the Muskokas, this annual residential camp, under the leadership of our own David Hart, has a week devoted to water polo, June 28-July 4, for athletes ages 13-17. Information on Camp Olympia can be found here: www.olympiasportscamp.com . Earlybird deadline is January 31, 2009. This is an excellent high-quality sports camp that many Titans athletes have attended in past years.

Camp inquiries can be directed to David Hart, at headcoach@titanswaterpolo.ca
Improvements to Titans Website
First of all, BIG thanks to our webmasters Greg Sidebottom and John Chinneck, who continue to add content to our website. Without them, we wouldn't have such easy access to Titans information.
In an effort to clean up the Competitive section of the website, we have moved all references to leagues (OWPL, NCWPL and OWWPL) and you will now find them under their own category, Leagues. This area will always have the most up-to-date league schedules, so check here if you are unsure of when your game is.
As well, check out the Tournaments section, where you will find all the details pertaining to our own hosted events, as well as photos, etc that families send us from events they have attended.
U22 National Championships in Ottawa, March 19-22

$50 REWARD Offered For Recruitment of New Players!
In an effort to step up our recruitment of new players, the Titans are offering a REWARD ($50 cheque) payable to any player or parent who is able to bring a brand new player on board. While our aim is primarily to broaden our base by increasing the number of players in 'I Love Water Polo' and Recreational House League, we will also honour a reward for new recruits to our competitive programs (by invitation of the head coaches in this case). Potential new players are welcome to come out and try a practice before committing. In order to cash in on your $50 reward, the new player must sign up and pay for the remainder of the season (late registrants are entitled to a pro-rated fee). Contact General Manager Deanna Barry at INFO@titanswaterpolo.ca. OFFER EXPIRES FEBRUARY 13, 2009.
