Competitive Practice Schedule to End of May
From Deanna Barry, General Manager

Please note that the competitive coaches are currently in the process of determining individual team practices through to the end of May and there WILL be some changes.

There are a few challenges to deal with for practices for the remainder of the season. They include:

There will definitely be some changes made to the April schedule, and most of the May practices have not even been posted so far on the Titans website calendar. We ask for your patience as we get extra pool time confirmed and the practices determined by coaches and then posted. Most of all, if you are looking at the website Calendar through to end of season, DON’T PANIC at what you see, particularly for May!

2008 Children's Fitness Tax Credit Receipts

Receipts have been e-mailed out to families in the last week. To be eligible for this tax credit, the child must be under the age of 16 at some point in the 2008 calendar year (only those players born in 1992 and later are eligible). You can claim a maximum of $500 per child. Titans are able to issue a receipt for income tax purposes for amounts paid in 2008 only. Amounts paid in 2007 do not qualify, even if all or part of the activity takes place in 2008.

If you have questions/concerns about your receipt, or if you did not receive one and think you should have, please contact Titans General Manager Deanna Barry, at INFO@titanswaterpolo.ca

The Ottawa Titans will be hosting the U22 National Championships March 19 - 22 at the Carleton and Ottawa University pools.  There will be a total of 15 teams participating in this championships.  As you know, the success of a tournament of this nature is dependent on a strong commitment of volunteers.  There will be a total of 41 games over a 4 day period.  Each game will require 5 volunteers: 2 timekeepers; 1 secretary and 2 goal judges

Titans athletes of high school age are encouraged to help out as goal judges and earn their high school volunteer hours.

Here is the link to the google spread sheet that will allow you to sign up for the times and role that you would be available to volunteer for: http://spreadsheets.google.com/ccc?key=pTG6NQvkQfshN2JIKjz6BaQ&hl=en

Note: When signing up - if you are new to a position or inexperienced, please put your name in RED so we know and can set up a training session. Please sign up for a minimum of a 2 game sessions.  Please look closely at which the pool the game is at - Ottawa U or Carleton.

A short description of the minor official roles can be found on the club website, under the "About" tab, or by simply clicking here: Overview of Rules for Minor Officials .
