14+U
Girls and Boys Provincial Championships are this Weekend. Help is
Needed!
The 14U Girls and Boys provincial club championships are coming up May
23-25 at the Nepean Sportsplex Pool.
We desperately
need volunteers for minor officials to
fill in holes for the games for Game Secretary,
Shot Clock Operator and Game Clock Operator as well as minor
officials desk helper and goal judges for medal games.
All
parents of Academy-aged athletes are expected to sign up for at least
one time slot. It's the only way we can host an event like this.
We
also need some experienced volunteers to help with set-up at 4pm,
perhaps non-Academy parents who have done it before, can you help?
Please show up 15
minutes before your shift and bring deck shoes to wear on deck.
Rather than walking across the deck, we ask that you follow the hallway
down past the canteen, where you turn right, go up the ramp and find our
signs for the Hospitality Room, where you can let us know you have
arrived. Please wear a WHITE SHIRT (t-shirts and golf shirts are fine).
If you would like to review your job or the equipment or game software,
feel free to come for the game before to observe and ask the person
doing the job any questions you have. A summary of the minor
official positions and game rules are available on request from Sue
Sidebottom
ssidebottom@gmail.com
.
Thank you for volunteering! I'm looking
forward to a great weekend!

Titans Awards Banquet, Thursday June 5
Titans families are
invited to the Annual Awards Banquet on Thursday, June 5 at the
Centurion Conference Center. It's a perfect time to celebrate our
accomplishments and spend a nice evening with friends. Tickets are $25,
and are available now from your Team Manager, but only until May 26.
We ask that you help
us to locate program sponsors and to secure donations of
items for the silent or live auctions. Contact Bev Davis
at
beverley.davis@sympatico.ca
to arrange to drop off your item. This can be a good fundraiser for us,
not to mention great entertainment! They do not need to be large items.
And if you don't have time to solicit items, please consider purchasing
a gift certificate and donating it. Everything helps!
At this point we
will not have a Slide Show, as we do not have a volunteer to organize
it. If you are able to take this on, please contact Deanna at
INFO@titanswaterpolo.ca
as soon as possible. Time is running out.
