Submitted by Evelyn LaRoche

Please be advised that the December Loblaws cards might be delayed for a few days as the delivery of the cards from Montreal has been delayed and I have not received them yet. I will try my best to have them with me at Ottawa U this weekend for those athletes not participating in out of town training or tournaments. Look for me there Saturday around 5pm. Stay tuned for other times to get your cards next week.  If you need to reach me, you can contact me at loblaws@titanswaterpolo.ca.

Titan's Cup Tournament January 25-27th, 2008
Submitted by Sue Sidebottom, Tournament Director

We are making plans for this year's Titan's Cup tournament!  The format for this year's event is slightly different than previous years, with changes based on key LTAD (Long Term Athlete Development) principles that our club and Ontario Water Polo are promoting.  The changes will allow more athletes to participate, with four divisions being offered (including an all-girls division as well as a primarily Atom-aged division).  More information is available at: http://titanswp.hypermart.net/2007/id8.html under the Titan's Cup link.

Volunteers Needed!  I have volunteered to be tournament director for Titan's Cup.  Let me know if you can help out by emailing me at ssidebottom@gmail.com.  Some of the main tasks we need volunteers to coordinate are:
I have lots of templates and information from previous years, which are easily reusable again this year.  Please don't hesitate to contact me if you'd like more information on what is needed for any of the above tasks.  Thanks, and I look forward to hearing from you!

Ontario Summer Games 2008
Submitted by Deanna Barry

For athletes born in 1992 and later, please note that applications for the 2008 Summer Games (being held in August in Ottawa) are due this Friday, NOVEMBER 30, if you wish to apply.  If you do not make the 2008 team Ontario program it is highly recommended you participate in the Ontario Summer Games (OSG).

Coaching applications are also due on November 30.

This is the first time Water Polo is in the summer games and this will not be a club event. The goals of this event are to increase skill, tactical awareness and to be Talent ID or 'Showcasing Ontario's Best' so we can start the Team Ontario competing in the 2009 Canadian Youth Cup.

You must APPLY for the summer games. Information on the OSG can be found at: http://www.ontariowaterpolo.ca/admin/docs/2008%20OSG/OSG%20water%20polo%20announcement.pdf

Note, If you make the Team Ontario program you will be ineligible for the OSG.   However if you do not apply for the OSG you will not be selected.
