This is the first of a series of weekly newsletters that I will send out on
Wednesdays in the same format as last year. If you would like to

Tournament Directors Needed!
The Titans will be hosting their annual Titans Cup (Bantam) tournament on
January 25-27th and the Titans Cadet Invitational on February1-3rd 2008,
both at the Nepean Sportsplex Pool. We need volunteer Tournament Directors for
both of these events. No tournament experience is necessary, but you do need
strong organizational skills. We have an army of volunteers to help you, as well
as experienced folks to share tournament reports, wisdom and best practices. We
just need someone at the helm of each event. If this is of interest, please

Referee Clinic
Saturday
This is a reminder of the referee clinic being held this
Saturday, October 13, 10am-1:30pm, Room 242 of
Lamoureux Building at U of O. Bring a bag
lunch.
Note that all athletes born in '93 or earlier
are required to take referee training.
For those who still want to register, there are 7 spots left so it's not too
late. Please contact Sharon Lapins at
sharonlapins@videotron.ca ASAP to register if you haven't
already done so.
Locker Thefts
Last Saturday several of our athletes had items
stolen from unlocked lockers in the changeroom at Ottawa U. Items stolen
included clothing and shoes. This is an ongoing issue and thefts have
also occurred at the Nepean Sportsplex.
Athletes should NOT be leaving any items in lockers that have no locks
at any of our pools.
