Canadian Select League Water Polo Season Opens Next Weekend in Montreal

The Canadian Select League opens its 3rd season at the Olympic Stadium in Montreal, Quebec the weekend of October 23-26, 2008.  The CSL  features the top 43 female athletes in the country.  Some of our Titans club members or former club members currently playing with the CSL include Maria Lapins, Evie Marshall and Rebekka Steenkamer.  The CSL has the defending CSL Champion West Coast Wild Cats playing the Central Senators in the season opener.  The Senators team is comprised of athletes born in '91 or later, who make up the Canadian Women's Junior National Team.  The Junior Women made Canadian water polo history this past summer as they defeated the United States at the Junior Pan American Games to win the gold medal for the first time.

Check out the CSL web site at www.canadianselectleague.com for game times, individual and team stats, press releases, pictures, and more.
