TEAM MANAGERS Required
We still require volunteer team managers for a number of teams. If we don't
have a parent step forward, your team will not get regular communication, and
we will not plan for them to attend any tournaments. Please contact Deanna
Barry at
INFO@titanswaterpolo.ca
if you can take this on for your son or daughter's team.
Team Managers required for the following teams:
-
Swordfish- NOTE-
the Swordfish have been invited to take part in the Ravens
invitational Sept 19-21.... if we don't have a team manager to communicate
the information, the girls will not be able to attend. This is urgent, as
plans are now underway for this tournament, coming up in just over a week.
-
Kanata Crocs (Walter Baker
Academy team)
-
Nepean Killer Whales
(Pinecrest Academy team)
IMPORTANT Girls 16+U and 18+U AA/ AAA
Athlete/ Parent Meeting this Saturday, 2-4pm
All girls on Piranhas, Swordfish, Marlins and
Stingrays teams are asked to attend a meeting this Saturday,
September 13, 2-4pm at University of Ottawa, in Montpetit Hall Room 207 (it's
the pool building). Celso Rojas, our new women's head coach, will address
athletes and their parents regarding expectations and plans for this year.
Note that dryland will be cancelled for the girls
on Saturday to accommodate this important meeting.
CHANGE to Time for Dryland Training
Note that Dryland Training time has been changed to 6:15-7:30pm. Also, please
check the website calendar if in doubt about cancellations due to weather. At
this time we don't have teamlists together and it is difficult to contact
players re cancellations.
Piranhas and Swordfish Temporary Schedule for
Wednesday/ Thursdays at Carleton
Note that for the next three weeks (until NDC starts October 1), the Piranhas
will practice Wednesdays 6-7:45pm and Swordfish Thursdays 7:30-9:05pm at
Carleton U. After that, regular practice schedule will kick in (i.e. non-NDC
players for both teams practice Wednesday nights at Carleton, and NDC players
from both teams practice Thursday nights at Carleton). The website has been
updated.

Saturday's Bake Sale
Submitted by Alka Steenkamer
I would like to extend a BIG THANK YOU to all the families that
generously donated their delicious bake goods to Saturday's
sale. Your efforts, and the generous support of the members in
attendance on Saturday, helped us raise $267.20!!! These
profits will be shared equally between the Titans Club and the CIBC
Walk/Run for the Cure, a fundraiser for breast cancer.
I would also like to thank the young athletes that helped manage the bake
sale table, specifically, Emily Cobbold, Monique Sidebottom, Roxanne
Laroche-Boisvert, Stephanie Steenkamer, Emily Hodgson, Audrey Caron and
Rebekka Steenkamer.

Titans jacket and one of the new bathing suits for competition. If you do
not purchase these, you won't be allowed to compete. All Academy
